Featured Artisan is Dee Begg of Ice House Crafts


This weeks featured artisan from the It's Better Handmade Group is Dee Begg of the Ice House Crafts. She is a self taught painter, wife and mother of 3 boys. Dee been selling crafts, full time for the last 20 years, mostly at craft shows.
 Dee started doing crafts as a young girl and has always enjoyed them.  Some  of Dee's favorite things to paint on are old vintage pieces that she finds treasure hunting at local flea markets, yard sales and antique stores. Dee also enjoys painting wood signs..."Her favorite ones are the ones that bring a smile to your face when you read them!"

Featured Artisan Kris of LisianBlue


This week's featured artisan from the IBH  Blog Ring is Kris of Lisianblue.



 Kris is a mother and grandmother who enjoys a variety of interests.
When she was very young, she would draw for hours and dreamed of being an artist.   Kris enjoys the design process, and loves seeing her designs come to life through different mediums. 




Kris has been "crafting" for many years, with experience in beading, loom beading, bead weaving, sewing, crochet, knitting, woodworking, drawing, painting, stained glass, and photography. 



Lisianblue name comes from the listhianthus flower which is one of her favorites, especially the blue . She combined the  2 words to come up with the one - lisianblue.

Featured Artisan Brenda of Howling Caterpillars

This weeks featured artisan from It's Better Handmade Blog ring is Brenda of Howling Caterpillars. Brenda is a very creative person who loves to do research about the items she chooses to make.


She makes dream webs, T-shirts, jewelry and other items unusual items. Dream webs are her inspiration from the Native American culture. Her t-shirts images are of forgotten cultures she has done research about.
Brenda loves to make to custom items, as sees them as a challenge for her mind to creatively design. She will ship her items all over the world so it doesn't matter where you live you can have one of her unique items.

Featured Artisan Teri Prouty of Charming Elegance

This week's IBH Blog Ring featured artisan is Teri Prouty of Charming Elegance. Terri is from Sierra Nevada Mountains in Northern California. Her passions are sewing and crafting and has dabbled in many forms of arts from enameling, jewelry, embroidery, knitting, crocheting, macrame, drawing, and beading. Sewing and tailoring are her first loves. Teri spends countless hours creating gifts for friends and family.
