Pumpkin Pillowcase Dresses

My newest creations are pillowcase dresses.

I make these lovely dresses with your little girl in mind.  They can be almost any design and pattern and most come with an applique.  They are great for gift giving or for your holiday dress up fun!

Sophie models this cute custom tiger print pumpkin dress.
Sizes come from infant to size 14.

Tiger pumpkins are great for fall, Thanksgiving and
even for your team spirit of  Orange and Black OSU.

Retro polka dot pumpkins are so fun and cute,
just what your little girl needs for the fall and beyond.

Fall and winter dresses are all lined and have adjustable ties for your when your child grows.

Revamping Vintage Aprons

Some vintage aprons can stand alone and some can use a little restyling.
Here are two aprons I have taken and revamped into the Shabby Chic style.

Mustard yellow handkerchief bottom apron.

Here I added orange satin ribbon to trim the bottom of this apron and around the pocket.
I included a crochet doily and a removable orange and green felt flower.

Simple orange/peach and beige checked apron

I restyled this apron by shortening this by about 2 inches.   I added cream pompom trim around bottom and cream lace around the waistband.  I included a cream crochet doily pocket which is trimmed with orange ribbon and orange and white felt flower and beige button center.

Citrus Heavenly Juice Recipe

This is a wonderful heavenly juice.

Ingredients

1 grapefruit
1 orange
1 carrot
2 handfuls of spinach
3 cups of water

Wash all vegetables, buy organic when you can.  Chop  carrot in small pieces. Remove rind from orange and grapefruit, try to keep some of the white part of these fruits.  Put carrot in blender first and chop.  Then add peeled orange and grapefruit, puree.  Add 2 cups of water and blend.  Add spinach and another cup of water.  Blender all together until really smooth.  Store left overs in glass in refrigerator for only one day.  This should make about 4 large glasses of juice with pulp.

Enjoy this refreshing juice!

Citrus Delight Recipe

Since starting this quest to get more fruits and vegetables into my diet the healthy way.  I have decided to juice.  I will be sharing my findings with my readers and the recipes I try.

This is the first recipe I tried.

Citrus Delight

1 orange
1/4 grapefruit
1/4 lemon

Chop all ingredients and put into blender, be sure to remove the rind.  Blend on high.  I found the best blender to use is Ninja blender and food processor.  Of course a real juice will work great but are really expensive and why waste the pulp, its all good for you.

This was really tasty but not enough.  I personally don't really juice but puree and then add water so its more drinkable.  This first recipe just drank it as it was juice, pulp and all.  I didn't add water but will next time.

New Creations!

So what do you do if certain items don't sale?  You either chuck them out or you find a way to reuse them or recreate them.  I've decided to not chuck out my prayer flags/spirit flags and recreate them.

I came up with the idea of prayer cloths.  But I didn't want plain ones because that is what I already had.  Instead I am going to add scriptures or prayers embroidered on my little flags.  I want these to be blessings and encouragement to others.  They maybe for the buyer or given away.  The idea if this is to encourage those who are sick or just need up lifting.  After all who doesn't need a little encouragement now and then?

My first attempt is above and the script is not as clear as I would like and the table my machine was on shakes too much to a straight line.  So I moved around my tables and machines and found a desk and put on my embroidery machine.  Below is the second one and the new table/desk and different font and words.  Below is the serenity prayer.   I hope this new idea is catchy and will inspire people to buy and share with others.  After all I want to be a blessing into others lives and this is my way of doing this.
